Software testing is the key ingredient for a well-prepared project. The question that matters is: what kind of testing provides the optimal outcome? Does automated or manual testing make sense? They both have their pros and cons.
A study of user acceptance tests
In engineering and its various subdisciplines , acceptance testing is a test conducted to determine if the requirements of a specification or contract are met. It may involve chemical tests , physical tests , or performance tests. In systems engineering , it may involve black-box testing performed on a system for example: a piece of software , lots of manufactured mechanical parts, or batches of chemical products prior to its delivery. Formal testing with respect to user needs, requirements, and business processes conducted to determine whether a system satisfies the acceptance criteria and to enable the user, customers or other authorized entity to determine whether to accept the system. Acceptance testing is also known as user acceptance testing UAT , end-user testing, operational acceptance testing OAT , acceptance test-driven development ATDD or field acceptance testing. Acceptance criteria are the criteria that a system or component must satisfy in order to be accepted by a user, customer, or other authorized entity.
UAT is done in the final phase of testing after functional, integration and system testing is done. It does not focus on cosmetic errors, spelling mistakes or system testing. User Acceptance Testing is carried out in a separate testing environment with production-like data setup. It is kind of black box testing where two or more end-users will be involved. Who Performs UAT? Developers code software based on requirements document which is their "own" understanding of the requirements and may not actually be what the client needs from the software. Requirements changes during the course of the project may not be communicated effectively to the developers.

Building Site Inspection. Standalone Testing ST is a field site acceptance test of a particular individual subsystem, like an RDS, but may also include other subsystems that may help demonstrate that the RDS is functioning as required. Before starting to execute test cases, I recommend making use of a User Acceptance Testing checklist. An authorized representative of Anne Arundel County will also witness the acceptance tests. Hence carrying on with a user acceptance testing checklist is not going to be an easy task. A proper FAT can help to minimize the problems occur during the installation of the equipment at the site.
